Installation Instructions

Installing Trezor Bridge is straightforward and takes just a few minutes. Follow the instructions specific to your operating system below to ensure a smooth installation process.

Windows Installation

  1. Download the installer for Windows using the button above
  2. Locate the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder) and double-click to run
  3. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click "More info" and then "Run anyway"
  4. Follow the installation wizard - the default options are recommended for most users
  5. Once installed, Bridge will start automatically and run in the background

macOS Installation

  1. Download the .dmg file for macOS
  2. Open the downloaded .dmg file to mount the disk image
  3. Drag the Trezor Bridge icon to the Applications folder
  4. Open Trezor Bridge from Applications - you may need to approve it in System Preferences → Security & Privacy
  5. Bridge will add itself to startup items and run automatically

Linux Installation

Debian/Ubuntu:

sudo dpkg -i trezor-bridge_2.0.33_amd64.deb

Fedora/RHEL:

sudo rpm -i trezor-bridge-2.0.33.x86_64.rpm

Arch Linux:

yay -S trezor-bridge

Important for Linux Users

You may need to configure udev rules for proper USB access. The package installation should handle this automatically, but if you experience issues, refer to our troubleshooting guide.

Verifying Your Installation

After installation, you can verify that Trezor Bridge is running correctly by visiting the Trezor Wallet website. If Bridge is properly installed and running, your Trezor device should be automatically detected when you plug it in.

You can also check if Bridge is running by looking for its icon in your system tray (Windows), menu bar (macOS), or by running the following command in your terminal (Linux):

curl http://127.0.0.1:21325/status

If Bridge is running, you should see a JSON response with version information and status details.
